Kayla + David | Start to a Beautiful Journey

Kayla grew up in a small town in southern Mississippi, a true southern girl. She grew up learning the meaning of hard work and family values. She has had a bumpy road in the search for love, but has patiently been looking for many years. Enter David. A gentle, loving, & kind man that grew up in Michigan. He's a BYU sports fanatic and enjoys golfing. They met when Kayla moved to Utah to futher her career in education. If you ever get to see these two together you smile, because it's what love looks like. True love birds.

Kayla approached me one day and asked if I could do her bridals for her. I immediately responded with a big, giant YES! What an honor. And what a really fun shoot. We were able to capture that true southern bride feel through the pictures and they have been a big hit across the internet.

Fast forward to Tuesday, July 5th, 2016. Wedding Day. I met with David before Kayla arrived and had him in place for the big dress reveal. He flew into New Orleans and hadn't seen Kayla before hand. Once Kayla showed up I led her to her future husband! After the reveal we went inside the Baton Rouge Louisiana LDS Temple and had the ceremony. Since no photography is allowed inside we were unable to capture photos of the ceremony, but got plenty of pictures afterwards to remember the big day.

The next day we had her reception at Cowboy Jims, a restaurant that is close to the home Kayla grew up in and worked countless hours bussing and serving tables. She was so loved by the owners of the restaurant that they wanted to do something big for Kayla. And boy did they. They went out of their way to make everything perfect. We had a lot of fun with family and friends and enjoyed celebrating the start to Kayla and David's beautiful journey together.
